2013 Pink Ribbon Classic – Tuesday, September 24, 2013
The American Cancer Society’s Golf Program is currently planning its seventh annual Pink Ribbon Golf Classic. This event will be held at The River Club in Suwanee, Georgia, on September 24, 2013. Golf events provide a unique avenue for charitable giving. They allow individuals and companies to engage clients, peers, and co-workers to support a truly phenomenal cause.
This event is held every year to honor the memory of those who have lost their battle with cancer and to celebrate survivors. Jean Miles and Lori Van Matre were two courageous women who served as honorees for our event but sadly this terrible disease has taken them from us. In whatever way you can, please help us with our efforts to find a cure.
The American Cancer Society has not only funded 44 Nobel Prize winning cancer researchers, but has played a role in every major breakthrough in the fight against cancer. By sponsoring the Pink Ribbon Golf Classic, you will join your community in taking up the fight. All proceeds generated through this event will directly support the American Cancer Society’s cancer research, advocacy, education, and patient service programs. These programs include the Hope Lodge in Decatur, Georgia, a Patient Resource Navigator at Gwinnett Medical Center, Road to Recovery and Look Good……Feel Better, a community based, free, national program for women.
